On September 16, 2025, students of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education in specialty A4.13 Secondary Education (Art. Music Art) took part in a meeting (curatorial hour) dedicated to the 198th anniversary of the founding of the city of Berdyansk and the anniversary of its liberation from Nazism.
This celebration is especially meaningful today, as nearly half of the city’s residents have been forced to leave, yet they continue to remember their hometown and believe in Victory.
With welcoming remarks, Associate Professor Olena Buzova, Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching Art Disciplines, addressed the audience.
Students immersed themselves in the history of Berdyansk — an important trade, industrial, cultural, and educational center — from its founding and through the years of World War II to the present day, recalling the key events of the city’s chronicles.
Heartfelt emotions and memories, and for some participants — their first acquaintance with Berdyansk’s story — became a living history and a reminder that despite the challenges of war, the people of Berdyansk preserve the memory of their native city, along with love and faith in its liberation.
