On May 13, the Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a workshop titled “Fundamentals of Image Generation and Creating an AI Influencer for Instagram Pages.” The speaker of the event was Svitlana Lytovchenko, a graduate of the 061 Journalism program, who shared with students modern approaches to AI content creation and the use of neural networks in the media sphere.

During the meeting, participants explored the capabilities of the Midjourney platform and learned about the key principles of generating visual content using artificial intelligence. The speaker explained in detail how to properly formulate prompts to obtain high-quality and stylistically consistent images. She also described the stages of creating an AI character – from developing a visual identity to building a recognizable style and positioning it as a full-fledged brand on social media.

Students showed particular interest in the practical cases of using neural networks in today’s digital environment. During the workshop, examples of Twitch channel design, Telegram sticker creation, AI photo shoots, and visual content for brands and social media were demonstrated. Participants were able to see how artificial intelligence tools can assist in creating unique media products and open new opportunities for journalists, content creators, and SMM specialists.

The event became not only a source of new knowledge but also a platform for discussing current trends in the development of digital media and the role of artificial intelligence in modern communication. Students received valuable practical advice and had the opportunity to learn more about the prospects of using AI technologies in their future professional activities.
