During March–May 2026, the Department of Social Work and Inclusive Education carried out the annual review and improvement of the educational and professional programmes “Social Work and Social Pedagogy” and “Socio-Psychological Support for Resilience”.
A series of meetings with students was initiated by the programme guarantors as part of the quality assurance process aimed at collecting feedback on the content, structure, and practical orientation of the programmes. Such meetings constitute an important component of the annual monitoring and review of educational programmes, ensuring their relevance to current professional requirements and the needs of students.
Throughout the discussions, programme guarantors familiarized participants with the procedures for reviewing educational programmes, highlighted current trends in the development of social work and socio-psychological support, and invited students to contribute suggestions for further programme enhancement.
Students were given an opportunity to express their views on the content of educational components, their practical value, the organization of the learning process, practical training opportunities, and the development of professional competencies. Particular attention was paid to strengthening the practice-oriented dimension of education, updating the content of individual courses, and addressing contemporary challenges faced by social service professionals.
The meetings also focused on the importance of preparing specialists capable of responding effectively to the social consequences of war, supporting individual and community resilience, and providing socio-psychological assistance to diverse population groups. Participants discussed ways to ensure that educational programmes remain responsive to societal needs and labor market demands.
One of the key outcomes of these meetings was the active involvement of students in the decision-making process regarding programme development. This approach reflects the principles of student-centered learning and promotes partnership between students, academic staff, and programme guarantors.
The feedback and recommendations gathered during the meetings will be carefully analyzed by the programme working groups and considered in the process of further updating and improving the educational programmes. Such collaborative efforts contribute to maintaining high educational standards and ensuring the continuous development of modern, competitive, and socially responsive degree programmes.
The Department of Social Work and Inclusive Education sincerely thanks all students who participated in the discussions and shared their ideas and suggestions. Their engagement plays an important role in enhancing the quality of education and shaping the future development of the programmes.
