On April 9, 2026, within the framework of the existing Cooperation Agreement, students of the Faculty of FMKTO specializing in A5.33 “Professional Education (Energy, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics),” together with the Rector of BSPU and members of the working group for the “Professional Education: Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Energy Saving” educational program, visited the JSC “Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo” enterprise.
During the visit, students learned about the region’s power system and emergency response procedures. They observed the operation of dispatch centers and substations, attended a lecture on the internal workings of complex equipment, and learned about the specifics of power grid maintenance and modern energy-saving technologies.
Additionally, as part of the visit to the stakeholders, students and faculty toured the “Zaporizhzhia Electrification Museum.” The museum features a unique exhibition tracing the history of the Zaporizhzhia region’s energy system from the first light sources to the modern grid. Highlights include the construction stages of DniproHES, authentic artifacts, instruments, documents, photographs, and contemporary evidence of resilience (fragments of FPV drones, missiles, and guided aerial bombs found by power engineers at their workplaces).
Such traditional meetings between students, faculty, and the specialists of JSC “Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo” are an integral part of the practice-oriented training for future professionals. They help young people gain a deeper understanding of the specifics of the energy engineering profession.
