First Psychological Aid Training

On December 3–4, 2025, a training on providing first psychological aid was held for students of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University. The topic of psychological assistance is especially relevant in Ukraine today, as many people face stress, emotional exhaustion, and the consequences of traumatic events. That is why the ability to support oneself and others in crisis situations is so important.

During the training, participants learned about the concept of stress, its signs, and how to recognize stress in another person. Students also explored the principles of providing first psychological aid and practiced step-by-step action algorithms used in crisis situations. This allowed them to better understand how to support someone during moments of emotional tension and provide necessary psychological assistance.

Participants emphasized that such knowledge is essential not only for future psychologists but for everyone, as the ability to support a person in crisis is a fundamental skill in today’s world.
