The academic staff of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance participated in the professional development program “Digital Innovations for an Inclusive and Sustainable Economy”, implemented at the Educational and Scientific Institute “Karazin Banking Institute” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University within the framework of the international EURIDICE project.
The EURIDICE project is aimed at developing digital competencies in the fields of economics and finance, introducing inclusive approaches to economic growth, and promoting modern practices of sustainable development. The professional development program combined the theoretical foundations of the digital transformation of the economy with practical tools for their application in professional and educational activities.
The program lecturer was Olena Moskalenko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Banking Business and Financial Technologies at the Educational and Scientific Institute “Karazin Banking Institute”.
During the training, participants explored a range of актуal thematic areas, including the digitalization of the financial sector, the development of fintech ecosystems, modernization of banking services, implementation of inclusive financial models, and the use of analytical tools in managerial decision-making processes. Particular attention was paid to change management under conditions of digital transformation and the integration of ESG approaches into modern economic practice.
Special emphasis was placed on enhancing the resilience of financial systems and integrating the principles of sustainable development into the strategic management of banking institutions. The practical orientation of the program contributed to strengthening the participants’ professional competencies and developing a contemporary understanding of the processes of digital economic transformation.
Participation of the academic staff in the professional development program contributed to the expansion of scientific and practical experience, familiarization with international approaches to the development of a digital and sustainable economy, and the integration of innovative methods and technologies into the educational process. The acquired knowledge and practical skills will provide an important foundation for updating educational components in accordance with current labor market requirements and trends in the development of digital society.
Overall, participation in the program became an important stage in the professional development of the department’s academic staff and contributed to strengthening scientific and educational cooperation within international European initiatives.
