Industrial Practice of Master’s Students of Specialty A4.13 Secondary Education (Art. Music Art) in Real Teaching Conditions at the Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching Artistic Disciplines

Applicants for the second (master’s) level of higher education in the educational and professional program “Secondary Education (Art. Music Art)” of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, as part of their industrial practice in the specialty in the role of music art teachers at higher education institutions, took part in an informative lecture in the discipline “Theory of Music” delivered by Senior Lecturer V. O. Zamashniuk on the topic “Triads. The Structure of Chords.”
During the class, students:
- deepened their knowledge about the types of triads, their structure, and functional meaning in harmony;
- performed practical tasks on chord construction and resolution;
- used digital educational resources to visualize harmonic connections.
As part of the practical section of the class, students selected chords to accompany authentic Ukrainian songs and discussed the influence of major and minor, harmonic and melodic modes on the deeper emotional expression of the song’s content.
The lecture became an excellent opportunity for the development of professional competencies, in particular:
- the use of ICT in music and pedagogical activities;
- the formation of skills in musical material analysis;
- preparation for teaching the integrated course “Art” within the framework of the New Ukrainian School.
An atmosphere of creativity, dialogue, and professional growth — that is how the training of future specialists in music education takes place at BDPU!
