On May 19, 2026, the “Kvorum” Legal Clinic of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University and the Department of Law of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities organized an online legal education event for the university community dedicated to issues of information security, legal liability, and the risks of involving citizens in activities that may harm the national security of Ukraine.

Purpose of the event:

  • to improve the legal awareness of students;
  • to familiarize participants with criminal liability for crimes against the foundations of Ukraine’s national security;
  • to promote responsible behavior in the digital environment;
  • to develop critical thinking and information security skills;
  • to prevent the involvement of young people in illegal activities through social networks and messaging platforms.

The event was prepared and conducted in the “Street Law” format (practical law) by students majoring in Law from group 3-pr: Serhii Stabias, Iryna Derman, and Valentyna Matus.

During the event, participants discussed the following issues:

  1. What actions are considered criminal offenses?
  2. Which articles of the Criminal Code are applied?
  3. How should one act in case of suspicious contacts?
  4. How can one protect oneself in the information space?

The speakers explained the content of the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, illustrated them with examples from judicial practice, and invited participants to reflect on real-life situations and safe behavior algorithms.

In the conditions of modern warfare, information has become one of the tools of influence and struggle. The information space requires attentiveness and legal awareness.

Head of the “Kvorum” Legal Clinic of BSPU, Associate Professor Kateryna Dudorova
