On October 15, 2026, Kyiv hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, titled “Development of technological education: theory and practice.” The event brought together academic and teaching staff from higher, vocational, and professional pre-higher education institutions, scientists, secondary school teachers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, representatives of local government bodies, business structures, non-governmental organizations, and stakeholders from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, and Germany.

The purpose of the conference was to discuss current theoretical and practical problems in the development of technological education, exchange scientific achievements and pedagogical experience, and determine the prospects for improving its content, forms, methods, and technologies in the context of digital transformation and innovative development. It also aimed at preparing competitive specialists capable of responding to modern social and technological challenges, defining the role of technological education in cultivating human potential for the post-war recovery, modernization, and sustainable development of Ukraine, as well as advancing international scientific cooperation and consolidating the academic community in shaping the future of technological education.

Our young yet experienced researchers—part-time Master’s students in technology from the m2T-z group—also took part in the conference: Maryna Savchuk (“Methods of Teaching 10th-Grade Students the Technology of Making Embroidered Products Using Game Technologies”), Vasyl Kulynskyi(“Social Entrepreneurship as an Innovative Direction of Technological Education”), Artem SNISAR (“Methods of Teaching 11th-Grade Students the Technology of Artistic Woodworking Using Game Technologies”), and Bohdan Shumytskyi (“Online Constructor of Embroidery Patterns as a Means of Digitalizing Technology Education”). Since these students combine their studies under the Secondary Education (Technologies) educational program with work in secondary and extracurricular educational institutions, the thematic areas of the scientific and practical conference were highly relevant to them. Under the supervision of Yuliia Bielova-Oleinyk, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Vocational Education and Technologies, the students prepared scientific reports that were included in the conference proceedings, and each presenter was honored with a certificate. The presentations of our students proved to be highly relevant; the results of their scientific research were received with great interest by the scientific community and highlighted during the concluding session of the conference.

During the plenary session of the conference, Yuliia Bielova-Oleinyk, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Vocational Education and Technologies, delivered a presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence in the Design Education of Future Technology Teachers: Challenges of Martial Law, Risks, and Ways of Symbiotic Integration.”

We are immensely proud of our students and wish them further outstanding presentations at conferences and new scientific discoveries!
