Students of the A3/013 Primary Education programme at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University successfully represented BSPU at the 7th All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers “Healthy Child – Healthy Nation”, organized by Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University. The competition brought together young researchers from across Ukraine and was held in two stages: peer review of research papers and public presentation of the best studies at the final scientific and practical conference.

Particular success was achieved by Anastasiia But and Diana Okhrymenko, students of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts, who conducted their research under the supervision of Maryna Nesterenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education. Having received high scores from independent reviewers, they advanced to the final stage of the competition and successfully defended their research, confidently and competently answering all questions from the distinguished jury. As a result, both students were awarded Third Degree Diplomas.

Another research project, prepared by Andrian Kuza and Kateryna Polishchuk under the supervision of Anzhelika Lesyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Dean of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts, also successfully passed the selection stage. The students were awarded certificates as participants of the second round of the competition.

Participation in competitions of this kind is extremely important for future teachers. It helps develop research competencies, academic writing skills, critical thinking, and the ability to present and defend research findings publicly. Such events enable students to become part of the academic community, gain their first experience of professional recognition, and realize that pedagogy is a continuous search for innovative solutions aimed at improving modern education.
