On September 18, 2025, an important meeting took place between the students of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Human Health and the representatives of the student self-government of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University. The event aimed to familiarize students with the activities of the Student Council and provide useful information about various areas of student life.

The moderator of the event was Nataliia Kryvun, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Choreography and Fitness. She welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of active student participation in university life.

The speaker of the event was Daryna Nemchenko, Secretary of the BDPU Student Council. She gave a detailed presentation about the structure and functions of student self-government, introduced the members of the Student Council, outlined the main directions of its work, and emphasized its openness to initiatives from every student.

Special attention was given to explaining the public rating system, which allows students’ involvement in various fields — academic, creative, sports, social, and free-time activities — to be taken into account. Ms. Daryna explained how points are awarded for participation in events, contests, conferences, and volunteering, and how this can influence the awarding of scholarships or other incentives.

In addition, Daryna Nemchenko reminded the audience about the importance of an individual educational trajectory — the elective courses — which are one of the key components of modern university education.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, and students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers. The event was a valuable step toward integrating young people into the BDPU student community and motivated them to take an active part in the public life of the university!
