On April 14, 2026, within the framework of the educational component “Inclusive Approaches in Education” (lecturer – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olha Hurenko), a guest lecture was delivered to third-level (educational and scientific/PhD) higher education students majoring in 011 Educational and Pedagogical Sciences by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Psychology and Speech Therapy, Alina Synytsia.

The session covered two interconnected topics. The first focused on the principles of tolerant communication in a gendered environment and the fundamentals of gender-sensitive language. Together with the speaker, participants reflected on how to choose words that avoid stereotypes, respect individual identity, and promote equitable dialogue. A lively discussion was sparked by the topic of same-sex relationships and the upbringing of children in such families. Students had the opportunity to share diverse perspectives and reflect on social stereotypes and research-based approaches, deepening their understanding of the importance of respect for diverse family models and human dignity.

The second part of the lecture was devoted to assistive technologies used to support individuals with various needs. This allowed participants to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of modern technologies in building accessible and inclusive educational environments.

At the end of the session, students warmly expressed their gratitude to the lecturer for her openness, depth of knowledge, and ability to foster a safe and respectful space for dialogue. The guest lectures by Alina Synytsia have become for the PhD students not only a source of new knowledge, but also a space for reflecting on their own professional and human values.
