On November 7, 2025, a meeting of the guarantor of the educational program A4 “Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature (Resilient Practices)” with students took place at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.

The event aimed to provide students with a detailed overview of the program’s structure, its implementation features, and the opportunities it offers for professional development and academic mobility.

The guarantor of the program, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Hanna Aleksandrova, presented the structure of the program, outlined the professional and program competencies, and familiarized students with the program learning outcomes and educational components that together shape the comprehensive professional profile of a future teacher of Ukrainian language and literature.

Special attention was given to elective disciplines, which enable students to individualize their educational trajectory, choosing courses that best align with their interests and professional aspirations. During the discussion, the guarantor emphasized that modern education requires teachers who not only possess strong philological knowledge but also demonstrate resilience and psychological stability – essential qualities for effective work in the context of contemporary challenges and rapid change.

Associate Professor Maryna Bohdanova, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, also addressed the participants. She highlighted the unique nature of the program, its relevance in today’s educational landscape, and the career prospects it offers graduates.
According to her, the integration of resilient practices into the content of teacher education is an important step toward preparing professionals capable of working with children in conditions of stress, uncertainty, and social transformation while maintaining emotional balance and the ability to support others.

The meeting also featured a speech by Professor Olha Kharlan, Head of the Department of Ukrainian and World Literature and Comparative Literary Studies. She drew attention to the fact that a true professional is formed not only during lectures and seminars but also through independent inquiry, research, and practical engagement.

The meeting was held in a warm and open atmosphere. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, share their expectations regarding their studies, and receive valuable advice on making the most of the opportunities offered by the program.

Such events foster dialogue between the guarantor, faculty members, and students, creating an environment of mutual understanding, trust, and shared commitment to professional growth.
