On May 7, 2026, lecturers from the Faculty of Psychological-Pedagogical Education and Arts of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University actively participated in the VIII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “A Holistic Approach in Psychology and Social Work: Theory and Practice”, held online at Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University.

Iryna Cherezova, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology, delivered a plenary address entitled “Training Psychologists for Coaching Work: Methodological Foundations, Contemporary Approaches and the Practice of Developing Facilitation Competencies”. The speaker emphasised the importance of high-quality training for psychologist-trainers in the context of full-scale war, noting the significant and growing demand for such professionals. Special attention was given to BSPU’s experience in training psychologist-trainers through the educational-professional programme “Psychology of Training Work” at the second (master’s) level of higher education.

Krіstіna Petryk, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Pedagogy, presented materials entitled “Internal and External Personal Resources as the Basis for Psychological Recovery in Crisis Conditions”. The author examined the mechanisms of mobilising personal resources in situations of psychological crisis and substantiated the importance of their purposeful development in the work of a practical psychologist. The proposed approaches are particularly relevant in the context of providing psychological assistance to citizens experiencing the consequences of wartime events.

The conference brought together specialists in psychology and social work from across Ukraine and abroad, serving as a platform for the exchange of academic and practical experience on pressing issues of preserving personal integrity, psychological rehabilitation, and the training of professionals in the context of European integration.
