The event was held in the format of a Zoom conference and brought together representatives of the academic community, educators, and hospitality industry professionals from different regions of Ukraine.

The conference was officially opened by representatives of the university administration and co-organizers of the event. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Viktoriia Hranovska, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, First Vice-Rector of HSAEU; Serhii Lavrenko, Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities; Nataliia Kyrychenko, Dean of the Faculty of Economics; and Liudmyla Alieshchenko, Head of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Business.

Among the conference co-organizers were Liudmyla Zavidna, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance of BSPU; Diana Naherniuk, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business of Uman National University; and Liudmyla Hekaliuk, Head of the Tourism Department of Uman City Council.

The conference became an important platform for professional discussion of current issues, modern trends, and development prospects of the hospitality industry under martial law and during the post-war recovery of Ukraine. The participants focused on issues related to the digitalization of the hospitality sector, the development of regional tourism potential, the implementation of inclusive leadership, the application of cluster approaches in rural tourism development, modern trends in restaurant services, and mechanisms for enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises in the industry.

Particular attention was drawn to the presentation delivered by Kateryna Lemish, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance of BSPU, entitled “Transformation of Ukraine’s Hospitality Industry Under Martial Law and During Post-War Reconstruction.” The presentation highlighted the key directions for adapting hospitality enterprises to crisis conditions, outlined the prospects for the post-war development of the industry, and emphasized the necessity of implementing innovative management solutions.

Within the framework of the discussion platform, conference participants considered practical aspects of ensuring the sustainable development of the hospitality industry, strengthening its competitiveness, and adapting it to contemporary socio-economic challenges. The organization of such scientific and practical events contributes to the enhancement of interuniversity cooperation, the exchange of professional experience, and the development of new approaches to advancing Ukraine’s hospitality sector.
